Rectangle trampolines are gaining popularity in 2019 more so than any other year that’s come before. Trampolines are a great way for your kids to have fun in the garden. It gets them out of the house and using a trampoline has proven to have many health benefits so we’ve seen them pop up in gardens all across the UK.
I was on the search recently for a new Rectangular trampoline but I didn’t want to spend a fortune. I thought that I probably wouldn’t find even a small rectangle trampoline for cheap but then I stumbled across the Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Rectangular Trampoline, available in 3 different sizes from a 10 ft by 7 ft Rectangle Trampoline to the medium sized 12 ft by 8ft Rectangle Trampoline to finally the massively exciting 15 ft by 10ft Rectangle Trampoline.
Needless to say, it’s one of my best rectangular garden trampolines availble to buy this year! And I’m going to tell you why.
Why The Zero Gravity Rectangular Barrel Trampoline?
New to 2019 the Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Rectangle Trampoline ticks a few boxes, here are the reasons why I decided that this rectangle trampoline was the right one for me. Firstly price, It’s probably the cheapest rectangle trampoline that you’re going to find online, with three different sizes available and with each size coming in at a very reasonable price point. For any other trampoline, you should expect to pay an extra £100 on the price of the Zero Gravity Ultima 5 prices.
The Design, I love the unique barrel design, called so after I presume the shape of the trampoline. It’s shaped like a barrel and looks like it will keep a centre line down the trampoline bounce mat which will stop children from bouncing too close to the edge of the trampoline where accidents can occur. It will also provide stability and strength as curved trampolines are stronger than straight designs as they have that extra resistance.
A better bounce! while there are many more expensive rectangle trampolines, this trampoline while being affordable provides a much higher bounce than a standard round trampoline. Perfect for those wanting to upgrade from a small round trampoline to a larger rectangle trampoline.
Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Design
The Zero Gravity Rectangle Trampoline features a blue and yellow colourful design that’s in line with the brand design. The same colour scheme can be seen on their round trampoline models such as the 8ft Zero Gravity Ultima 4. Eye-catching and superbly designed the Zero Gravity Rectangle Trampoline has the safety-focused curved inner enclosure that keeps children’s fingers away from the springs when the trampoline is in use. The trampoline enclosure secures to the trampoline mat and not the frame of the trampoline-like in traditional models. I always advise an inner enclosure when you are purchasing a new trampoline.
Zero Gravity has worked for 2 years on creating this unique barrel trampoline design that brings all the great features such as a better bounce and larger jump mat to an affordable price point with the Ultima 5 rectangular trampoline.
The blue safety padding that covers the trampoline springs and frame is made from PVC instead of PE. PVC does not fade or disintegrate when it’s sitting outside in the sun all day which can be seen on some other brand trampolines so you can be confident that the trampoline will stay as colourful and eye-catching for years to come.
Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Features Review
The Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Barrel Rectangle Trampoline features a unique barrel design that adds strength and stability to the trampoline, Inverted angled legs stop the trampoline from moving when in motion.
This is quite a common occurrence with rectangle trampolines and Zero Gravity have designed this trampoline to minimise this from occurring with the unique inverted legs. Movements of the trampoline when in use weaken the structure and the frame and can cause a trampoline to collapse.
Thick trampoline padding provides an extra safety reassurance when your children are using the trampoline and the inner curved enclosure is strong and kept in place by steel rods that hook to the top of the trampoline enclosure support poles.
The Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Trampoline, depending on which size you choose can support a max weight between 100 KG and 130 KG.
Zero Gravity Ultima 5 Build Guide
How long will this trampoline take to build? with most trampolines I like to include a trampoline build guide for the particular model. I haven’t got round to writing the guide yet but build times are;
- 10 ft x 7 ft: 2 – 3 Hours
- 12 ft x 8 ft: 3 – 4 Hours
- 15ft x 10 ft: 3 – 5 Hours
Make sure you check the trampoline package for everything that’s needed to build the trampoline. Read the instructions carefully.
ProTip: To add the springs effortlessly put the mat and the springs on opposite each other, When you have 4 trampoline springs attached work around clockwise to attach the other springs. I’ve heard some people had trouble getting the springs on.
